As we get further into the summer, we are getting closer to the tax extension deadlines. For partnerships and corporations, those extensions expire on 9/15/11. For individual tax returns the extensions expire on 10/17/11. While most people that still have extensions will wait until the last minute, as a CPA I would warn you not do so. If you owe money the government is accruing additional interest on you. If you are due a refund the IRS is continuing with an interest free loan for you. As always, I'd recommend that you get started so that if you discover you need additional data you still have time to pull it together.
